アーティストインレジデンスの舞台となる三重県熊野市は、人口約1万５千人のいわゆる日本の過疎の街のひとつです。
アートを通して少子化や空き家問題にアプローチし、この地域の魅力を感じていただける機会を創出いたします。
また地域のお祭りごとのように生き生きとした楽しいイベントとして、KUMANONISUMU!の永続的な開催を予定しています。

KUMANONISUMU!2022では、運営をお手伝いしていただける方を随時募集しています。
特に英語またはドイツ語にて、アーティストの通訳をしていただける方を探しています。
また語学が堪能でなくても、展示会場の設営や搬出、はたまた送迎や買い出しなど、お手伝いしていただけることはたくさんあります。

KUMANONISUMU! 2022 is always looking for support.
Kumano City, Mie Prefecture, which is the setting for the artist-in-residence, is one of the so-called depopulated cities in Japan with a population of about 15,000.
Approaching the declining birthrate and vacant house problems through artistic projects by international and lokal artists, we would like to create an opportunity to feel the charm of this area.
In addition, we are planning to hold KUMANONISUMU! Permanently as a lively and fun event like each local festival.
Therefore, we are looking for widespread support regardless of individuals, groups, or companies in order to lead to further regional development.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Kumano City and the Austrian Ministry of Arts and Culture for their support of this year KUMANONISUMU! 2022.
